Student librarians

Every year in September we invite students to apply to become student librarians. Miss Allan  arranges interviews with students so that she can select the team who will get the chance to work in the library over break and lunchtimes.

As well as working at the Issue Desk, student librarians help to organise the library shelves and assist the librarians with processing new books and the smooth running of the library.

We display photos of all our Student Librarians by the Issue Desk.

We sometimes promote those students who show exceptional commitment to the library to become a Senior Student Librarian.

Please see one of the librarians for further information.

New Display in the Carliol Library! INFORMATION LITERACY

Are you information literate?  Do you know what information literacy (IL) is about? We all need to know how to access and use information both in our work and everyday life. This display aims to help you understand what information literacy is and how you can improve yours! Visit the 6th form area of the Library Website for lots more on IL including copies of the articles on display.
