Spellbinding 2009 - the winner is decided!

Yesterday seven students from Year 7 represented Trinity School at the Spellbinding day held at the University of Cumbria in Newton Rigg. Over 100 students from schools all over Cumbria met to discuss the three shortlisted books and to decide the overall winner. After a morning of discussion about the books - Ways to Live Forever, Blood Ties and The Declaration - the winning book was announced by the guest storyteller, Niall de Burca. He is pictured here with Trinity School's Spellbinders! The Spellbinding Award for 2009 went to "Blood Ties" by Sophie MacKenzie. We have copies of this book in the library for everyone to enjoy.
