Some links that you might find useful for your research on The Waltz / Composers: Schools Wikipedia - music section Essentials of Music website BBC classical music    - use the search box (top right hand corner) to find information about composers Classical Net - search for information about composers All Music - search by genre or by composer All about the Waltz at Wikipedia  (links from here to different composers like Chopin, Strauss and Shostakovich) Remember the library also has books about composers and about different styles of music.  Ask the librarian to show you where they are in the library.

Mr Stuart Eastwood from Border Regiment Museum gave a fascinating talk yesterday all about the life of the soldier in World War I.  Mrs Jones, Mrs Armstrong and Ms Mullin all brought their Year 7 groups to find out more about a Soldier's Life and to look at the wonderful resources.  This was really useful background information for the Year 7s who are reading 'Private Peaceful' this term.

We've got a display about World War I in the library for the next few weeks. You'll find books and information all about the War, the life of a soldier and also war poetry.
