You should see a new icon like this on your desktop Click on this and you will get access to Oliver, the library's online catalogue or OPAC. You can search the catalogue to find particular book/s, titles or subjects. The librarian's also make lists of different resources on OPAC eg recommended books, reading lists. If you need any help please ask one of the librarians.

Our student librarians have been continuing to help in the library at break and lunchtimes throughout the week.  We will be swapping to the next group after half term in February.

We've got lots of great new books on display in the Chapman Library for the start of this term! Pop in to see a whole variety of non-fiction books including books on dogs and hamsters, motocross and wrestling! Don't forget if there's a book we haven't got, tell the librarian and we'll try and get a copy!

According to The Telegraph, Stephenie Meyer, the author of the enormously popular Twilight books, is to let fans read her new novella free on the internet. Read more here .

The Chapman Library has been closed since Monday due to flooding from a burst pipe. Apologies to everyone for the closure and normal sevice will be resumed as soon as is possible. Water flowed under the door and the floor in the office and out into the library. Front desk has been removed to dry out! Looking from the office to the front desk. All the carpet is removed from the library. Library floor drying out.

Today Carol Ann Duffy was named as the new Poet Laureate. Those of you studying GCSE English will be familiar with her poetry already. Some of her poems are displayed in the Chapman Library this term.
