Today we welcomed author of Spylark, Danny Rurlander to Trinity school.  Danny spent the morning meeting Y7 and 8 students and signing copies of his new book.

Tom paid a visit to Mrs Thomas' class today to get some feedback about his latest book manuscript.  Students spent the lesson discussing the book and offering help to Tom. Tom said  "Thanks to Trinity School for the (necessarily) blunt feedback on my latest book. Much appreciated. I knew it'd be a worthwhile trip!"

       

Pink excitement hit the Chapman Library today as we welcomed Cathy Cassidy for a brief visit!  Nearly a hundred students packed the library to meet Cathy this lunchtime.  Lots of books were sold and everyone got them signed by Cathy. Everyone waits patiently for Cathy to arrive! Cathy talked for a bit about her books Veronika, Gemma and Mia with their new Sweet Honey books.  Cathy made sure she signed everyone's books. 

Top author Cathy Cassidy will be visiting Trinity Library during lunchtime on Monday 9th June.  We are all very excited about this event.  Watch this blog for more information to follow soon. We were delighted to welcome Joseph to school.  He spent a lesson talking to Y7 students and introducing his Wardstone Chronicles books.  He also talked about the film version of the Spook's Apprentice (called the Seventh Son) which will be released next year and stars Jeff Bridges.

John Connolly gave an interesting talk about the origins of Science Fiction and the inspiration for some of his writing.  John was speaking to Y9 English groups in the Chapman Library.  His new novel The Conquest was published last week.  We have copies in the library as well as some of his other books - pop in to see them on display!
