Our theme this year is "A Medieval Christmas" - you will find lots of displays, a quiz and a presentation to watch.  Also playing are genuine medieval carols!

The first group of Student Librarians for this year have been having their training this lunchtime.  They begin work next week.

This term's Pushing the Boundaries display in the Carliol is called "21st Century Addiction".

The new Library card system is now up and running.  Library Inductions begin this week to give a basic introduction to the library and borrowing resources.

It's National Poetry Day today!  Come to the library to see the displays and read some poetry! The theme this year is "HOME".  Find out more on the website .

  WANTED! YOUR LIBRARY NEEDS YOU! HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES? ARE YOU... Friendly, cheerful, reliable and polite? Energetic, enthusiastic and full of ideas? Keen to help other  students and staff? A good team worker? Calm under pressure? We need you to play an exciting and important role in the day to day running of your school library. Student librarians work at break and lunchtime in the library and work closely with the library staff and other students. Full training will be given. Welcome back to school for some and a hello to all new Year 7.  You will notice some changes in the library this year - The Chapman Library has a new roof!  We also have a new computer system and this means the library card system will be changing too. More news on this later!

Mrs Turnbull took a small group of Spellbinders to a special award day arranged at Caldew School.

Members of the Questers reading group received there awards today from Mrs Wheelhouse!
